What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday - WOYWW 365

Good afternoon from sodden Kent. Our back yard is under water. And it's June 1st. There is a heat wave forecast for next week. Great British weather eh?

Today you happen by my blog as I take part in What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday for the first time in... (looks back in blog history)... a year! A year? Wow. But this week is the week for restarting things on my blog so what better time?

Today we are at my indoors desk which is now situated in my bedroom. Usually it's lovely and bright and airy up here because I'm in the attic room. But did I mention the weather? So please excuse the terrible lighting here.
Not much creative going on... yet. I have my index cards in preparation of starting (and completing godammit!) Index Card a Day.

The notepad is because I am currently doing a couple of online classes and am being all studious and taking notes. One is through the Society of Visual Storytellers and the other is a free one through The Shaw Academy. Hopefully there will be less note taking and more pretties to show you next time.

My thoughts are with Julia, the creator of WOYWW and her family today as she comes out the other side of her operation. Sending the hugest hugs possible from me and mine Julia.

If you would like to join in today and show your creative space and also see where many other people work and play - then hop on over to LLJans place to link up and find everyone else.

Any questions? Leave me a comment and I'll reply there and via email if you have one associated with your name.

Thanks for stopping by today :)

  2. Woohoo, it's good to see you back on the desks!! But you're in a bedroom - what happened to The Shedio?! Lol. I was also wondering how Devon was getting on...Rhys has just finished his first year at Winchester and has enjoyed it a lot (and grown up a lot too!). I really hope that your art course is going well too :-D

  3. Great seeing your "indoor" desk. I don't think I would want to paddle out to my craft space either LOL.

  5. Hello Carmen. Thanks for visiting me earlier and leaving a sweet comment on my layout.Your new desk space is looking great and I know how it is as winter my room is cold being in the basement. Hope you get better weather soon but for where I live in Alberta the whole province was super happy to have rain as we were at high dry peeks and the rain helped so much with the fires we have had. I will say we were so lucky (knock on wood) that they where not ever to close to us. Hope you have a fantastic week.Hugs~Anne L#4

  6. Nice to have you back! I bet the attic room is massive - wish I had a big craft room but beggars cannot be choosers and all that.
Sorry to hear about the rain, for once it is sunny here in the north of England but the breeze is still cool and not sitting out weather for me yet.
    See you next week, hopefully.

    1. It's actually really not that big. I have my bed, my desk, a bookshelf that doubles as a clothing shelf and a plastic set of drawers, that's me full :P But it does me.

Makes a change for the North to be getting the better weather - I suppose I shouldn't grumble... but I will and I will moan when it's to hot too ;)

  7. Oh Goodness, has ICAD started again - it really can't be a year already! I have never managed more than about three a week and sometimes I cheat and do a bulk load on a Sunday for the next 4 or 5 days, but I enjoy taking part, and I figure there are worse crimes! Thanks for the reminder, I'll check it out. Hope you have a good week and thank you for stopping by my desk - it's good to see you back,

  8. Welcome back Carmen and thanks for the visit and the lovely comments. I laughed about the weather, my Ma has been telling me all about it, whilst I make her jealous with all my sunny instagram pics (I live in NYC) but do not be fooled, Summer only arrived 2 weeks ago for us, very late here. I like the look of your busy desk, I bet your space is great. Cx #7

  13. Hi Carmen, that's an intriguing collection on the shelf above your desk but I can't quite make out the details??? I used to have an attic workroom, it was freezing in the winter and boiling in the summer but I loved it. I think if I had my bed in there too I might never come out! Hope your weather has picked up, ours has turned from torrential rain and gales on Wednesday to sunshine and blue skies today and od course we had to have a bbq! See you next time :o) Annie C
