WOYWW

There be an intruder at me desk! Aaaar!

Erm... not sure why the pirate side slipped out there but in any case there is still an intruder at my desk. I can't complain though as it's Craig helping me work out how to set up a sewing machine. We finally sussed it and I spent an afternoon trying to follow the patterns on swatches of material. We have discovered that my foot has it's own mind and I need a separate brake pedal. All the time I'm taking it slow and easy my sewing is pretty crash hot even if I say so myself. Then of course my foot gets excited and twitchy and my sewing speeds up and ends up all over the place, up the walls, over the carpet... out the front door... ok, maybe a teeny exaggeration there.
See, I jest not about how dark our house is. This was lunchtime. With the light on. Flashlight anyone?

If you want to play along and have a nosey at some desks while yours in turn is being rummaged through, pop along to Boss lady Julia's blog so you can link up and we can all find you.

Thanks for popping by!

  6. I think Craig just mightbe the most patient partner I have EVER met/known. What a star. Did you manage to manipulate him to 'test' the machineuntil he'd made a full tablecloth and napkin set at the least?!! The foot thing? Try putting less foot on the pedal...keep your heel back, does that make any sense?!!

  7. Its dark here today as well Carman roll on summer I hate these dark cold days.
I got Garry to die cut me something on the old red Sizzix machine about 5 years ago as a bit of a joke and he said he really didn't mind giving me a hand, now we run the small bussiness together and he does all the die cutting and has 2 machines of his own !!
I might try him on the sewing machine next !! but he wont touch a stamp he had a go but not his cuppa tea.
    Hugs Susie xx

  9. First of all, pirates rule. Second of all, I almost choked on my coffee when you said, "I need a separate brake pedal" because this is part of my sewing problem. Peddle to the metal! lol Good luck sewing (in the dark). lol

  10. Love it, just pretend that he's making curtains or something!! My husband made almost all the curtains in our house, taught himself how to use the sewing machine and everything! Roll on Spring and lighter evenings.
