WOYWW?

How goes it with you? Still trying to snow here but not succeeding very well, light spatterings is all. I think, judging by the news that we are in the minority though. Little as we've had it's enough to stop all the trains on our little Island in Kent. No surprises there then. I can't help but wonder whether the rest of the world guffaws loudly at our inadequacies in dealing with the white stuff. How does Alaska and Canada and er... the North Pole cope on a daily basis eh? Eh?

Anyhoo...
My desk is still reasonably tidy after my post Christmas tidy up. We have a new book which I keep flicking through and drooling over. A box of  Christmas cards taken down, waiting to be cut up into tags for next year. And! A pure wool jumper of Devvie's that doesn't fit her any-more. I'll hit the charity shops soon to see if I can find some more before I have a go at felting.

We also have my all important cuppa and *drool* toasted blue cheese sandwich. Suffice to say that is no longer on my desk but in my tum.

Thank you for stopping by and if you'd like to play along please drop by Julia's blog so we can all link up into one great big cobwebby, crafty herd of.... desks. I'm not good at these descriptions.

Go link up! :)

  4. Big sister Twiglet and I are into felting using old woolen jumpers. If you check out her blog you will see the stash of them that she has mostly picked up from charity shops [she has done her first WOYWW today so you can find her from Julia's].

  7. Ooh that book looks good, may have to invest in one :) Have you ever tried Aphrohead for books? They don't have this one, but it's always worth a look as I've often found them cheaper than elsewhere - they do sell on Amazon too but if you go to their own website it's cheaper. We've got about 6" of snow here in West Yorkshire

  9. Carmen, I looked that book up on the internet and some one mentioned that it had two different names and two different covers. The other one is called Felt So Good. I have ordered it from the library as it sounds brilliant. You have got me thinking about crafting for next Christmas and I added all those sites you mentioned to my favourites.
I would love to make a basket of food goodies for my family at Christmas, so I am hoping to collect a couple of old baskets and lots of lovely food recipes.

Blue Cheeese sandwich - I am drooling, but try adding bacon too!

We have loads of snow here. The school was shut today, so we took the kids down to the beach to play in the snow. It was fabulous.

  14. Ooh I wish we had no snow, have spent another afternoon trying to scrape the ridiculous stuff off the road we live on because apparently they don't grit cul-de-sacs! So feeling mighty tired now - the blue cheese toastie sounds divine however I've started the dreaded D word so none of that for me!

  26. Lol so sorry to overload this particular post with my comments but i was so happy with what you wrote to me. i was worried i'd alienate none Asian readers but you expressed the exact sentiment i was hoping to see. it isn't about ethnicity at all. its about encouraging all women to have originality but acknowledging certain ethnicities struggle with the conflict between assimilating and being original. that's all it is!

anyway thanks carmen for being one of my dearest readers. i really mean that :)
